Yoshi Katano was an officer in the Spacfleet Navy, and first officer under Only-One Cannotbe, and later under Typhon. She participated in the space campaign at the Battle of Nom Crustacia, aboard the D.S.X. Machina.

Yoshi Katano is primarily a parody of Star Trek: Enterprise character Hoshi Sato, though her name also pulls from Ahsoka Tano from Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Katana from Beware the Batman.
